Seussical

Director: Billie McBride

"I can see that you’ve got quite a mind for your age! Why, one Think and you dragged me right onto the stage! Now, I’m here, there is no telling what may ensue With a Cat such as me, and a Thinker like you!"

So says the mischievous Cat in the Hat at the onset of this fantastical, magical, musical extravaganza! Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty (Once On This Island and Ragtime) have lovingly brought to life all of our favorite Dr. Seuss characters, including Horton the Elephant, Gertrude McFuzz, Lazy Mayzie and all of the Whos ofWhoville! These classic, colorful tales are seamlessly brought together by JoJo, a young boy and “thinker of strange and wonderful thinks.” As each story unfolds you will marvel at the relevance and profundity of Seuss’s subtle and universal themes. This musical is truly appealing to audiences of all ages. The score emerges as a Seussian gumbo of musical styles, ranging from Latin to pop, swing to gospel, and R&B to funk. So let your toes tap, your fingers snap and your imagination run wild!

High School Musical

Director & Choreographer: Nick Sugar

Disney Channel's smash hit musical comes to life on stage! In this loose, modern retelling of Romeo and Juliet (with a much happier ending), basketball team captain Troy falls for the brainy Gabriella. Both have musical talent and want to try out for the school musical, but their respective cliques are not happy. Chad and the rest of the Jocks want Troy for the big game, and the Taylor and the rest of the Brainiacs want Gabriella for the science decathlon. When drama diva Sharpay, her brother Ryan, and the rest of the Thespians get involved, everyone is out to make sure Troy and Gabriella stay off the stage. With jazzy, contemporary pop songs like Start of Something New, What I’ve Been Looking For, Breaking Free and We’re All In This Together, this hip, new musical will have you dancing in the aisles. You’ve seen it on the screen, now live it on the stage!
